MassINC Polling at AAPOR

The national conference of the American Association of Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) is a virtual event this year. We at MPG are disappointed not to be in Atlanta with our fellow polling nerds, but we have two presentations for discussion at the conference. Both are based on unreleased research we conducted on the 2019 Kentucky Governor’s race for a private client.

  • What Happened in the Big Kentucky Horse Race? Steve Koczela summarizes three waves of data on the Kentucky Governor’s race, in which the Democratic Attorney General Andy Beshear narrowly defeated incumbent Republican Matt Bevin. (Thursday, 11-12:30)

  • All the Feels about Feeling Thermometers: And Steve and Maeve Duggan do a deeper dive on the use of “feeling thermometers” in the telephone and online surveys. (Friday, 1:15-2:45)

Registration for the conference is closed, but if you’ve already signed up, the full schedule is here.
